"We had a lovely restful week in this well-appointed cabin in the woods. The walls, floors, and even the ceilings are made of wood all assembled by a ream of excellent carpenters. The kitchen is highly functional and well-outfitted. The stove works very well. The living areas are very comfortable as are the bedrooms. We enjoyed the wood stove. The cabin is located at the end of a 100 foot / 30 meter driveway. and is surrounded by forest. We spent many nights sitting on the covered porch...

"The property was great. The cabin had everything that you could want.Colby lake was great for fishing. The only problem was the property was too close to RT 86. It certainly was not a quiet location. The light from the electric company on Rt 86 came on at 6:30 and were on all night."

The owner responded to our message quickly when we had a small issue. The Cabin was only 20 minutes from Marcy Field, and it was easy for our hikers to catch the shuttle to Big Slide or other trails. The Forty Six restaurant is not far either and has some great food. It is not too far from Lake Placid or Whiteface either. "
