"Quirky converted beach shack in sleepy American River. Some beautiful scenery and wildlife along the river. This property presents affordable accommodation in peak season and good base to explore around east and central KI. More suited for 4 as sofa bed requires updating. Unfortunately had a blocked shower drain during our stay otherwise stay at property was comfortable. It was disappointing that the oyster farm shop previously just up the road is now permanently closed. "

"Comfortable, unique and well designed accommodations in a gorgeous physical setting. We walked the large property and encountered beautiful wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies and koalas. Yael provided excellent, thorough guidance prior to our stay and Lina met us on site to provide further assistance with warmth and thoughtfulness. The retreat is near Flinders Chase National Park and a number of animal sanctuaries, all well worth a visit. We loved our visit to Ecopia Retreat! "
