"Loved our time at the Jungalow. So close to the park!! Easy to “pop” in… we were fortunate enough to see some actual lava flow/fountaining! We also were blessed with a clear night… seeing the stars from the park is truly incredible. Really appreciated the fireplace and the heaters as it was definitely much cooler than the Kona side. Spent some time on the porch watching the chickens… so fun to watch them interact! "

"We loved our time here! The property is just like the photos and it's so close to Volcanoes National Park. There was an eruption the day we arrived and we were able to get to it in 10 minutes. It's also just beautiful to be surrounded nature. A comment: there weren't any blinds/curtains, so be aware when the sun comes through in the morning."

"We have stayed in a lot of VRBO and rental units. This was by far the coolest we have ever been at.We booked very last minute because we wanted to extend our stay in Volcano to see Kilauea erupt.Quiet, peaceful, extremely clean. So charming and unique. We were obsessed with the furnishings. Read outside and listened to the birds daily. Super close to Volcano National park. Loved it. Will stay again for sure if given the opportunity."

"We had such a great experience staying in the guest cottage. It was so private, clean, cozy, and the views were breathtaking. The host was so good to work with. The microwave went out during our stay and they were there to fix it immediately. Also, they were so good to give recommendations and help with all our needs including last minute snorkeling gear. Staying here added so much to our experience here in Hawaii and I would stay here again, definitely recommend."

"This house was a wonderful place to stay. There was no air-conditioning in this place but it was not needed. The wind coming off the sea was sufficient to cool the house and sometimes at night it was cold. "The house is good overall, the kitchen knives are scary dull. The rooms were clean and I felt like I was in my own home for the most part. We loved the huge green tree ferns and the flowers surrounding the property, giving it a private fantasy feeling, just like the pictures on the website. "Loved the gardens and the gorgeous covered lanai (patio). The unit was spacious and the proximity to Volcano NP was amazing! The beds were comfortable. The very minimal kitchen equipment made it hard to make dinner (ie-no large frying pan, etc) and the light coloured carpet was quite stained throughout which lead to a feeling of it being dirty. Easy fixes would make this place 5 stars. "
