"The place is spacious, some parts dated and some updated. It is upstairs, so bringing up luggage was a bit challenging by myself, however an upper unit is always nice to have. "Easy entry and ground floor unit was convenient. Parking spot was also very close. Beach is an easy walk across the street! The beach chairs, umbrellas, toys and towels were such a bonus!! Condo had everything we needed except bbq utensils. The pans and some dishes could use an update. One complaint we had is the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. We were grateful the unit had air mattresses to use instead. Also, the shower floor has mildew around the edges and corners. "

"We enjoy the location of the Papakea Resort and have stayed there a few times. We enjoyed our stay. The living area was comfortable and clean. There were several beach items (chairs, umbrellas etc) available for our use. The bathroom, specifically the shower area, was a bit dingy and in need of an update. "The Whaler is a beautiful property with close access to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Our condo was clean and very nice. We even had beach chairs and snorkel gear. If I had one complaint it was the parking garage which we could rarely find an empty spot during our stay."

"This property was an excellent fit for family. We loved being able to cook and do laundry for a family with kids. We traveled with group and the spacious rooms made it possible to spend time together. The rooms were clean but the furnishings were dated.
