"Beautiful property in a beautiful location, clean, comfortable and magnificent views. Dog friendly. Some basic foodstuff and human and doggy treats on arrival. Comfortable bed, everything you need for a self catering break. Excellent communication from the owner prior to arrival with easy to follow instructions to get there. Once arrived, it is so quiet and peaceful you can’t help but relax!"

"We had a great time during our weekend stay. The resort was very peaceful and has a lovely little coffee shop as well as other amenities that we didn't get round to using. The place was very clean and neat and the check-in and out was easy via a lockbox. The beds are very small (can't be helped given the size of the caravan), we did have 5 adults staying but even the shortest of us on the stay had their feet hanging off the edge - aside from the size they are comfortable enough to manage a night...

"Check in process is poor. We booked two bedrooms with one room having two double beds according to Expedia advertising and selection at the time of booking. We were never told what room number assigned to us and on Apple Wallet upon checking in online said room 4-5. When arrived, it took us 1 hour to find out that we were put in room 20 with only two king beds and on the third floor. NO elevators. This has never been stated on the website and at the time of booking. We had many heavy luggage....

"Great stay at the Marine! From the moment we arrived we had an outstanding stay and made to feel so special. All the service was friendly and very attentive. It is a short walk into North Berwick. The spa and pool areas are great, with lots of areas to use and never that busy! The ice baths are a great addition! The lawn restaurant was amazing and the pizzas were fabulous! Very impressed overall, and will be back!! Thank you "

"Staff were all so friendly, food was fabulous, breakfast included in our room rate was fab and offered until 11 which suited. We had dinner on two nights out of three as we enjoyed it so much. Very dog friendly in all areas. Room was a little tired but spotless and the WiFi wasn’t great but won’t stop us returning!"

Recuperative break after surgery

"This was the perfect break to recuperate from major surgery and before starting chemotherapy. The seaview from my room was outstanding with views of the castle, sandstone rock formations and a tidal pool where brave women swam. There were equally amazing views from the public lounge and restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast choice was excellent with healthy options as well as full cooked Scottish breakfast. Dunbar is a charming town with a working harbour, small independent shops and cafés and 2 small museums. The John Muir museum is highly recommended which covers the life of John Muir from his childhood in Dunbar to moving to the USA and being instrumental in setting up National Parks. There are lovely cliff and beach walks along the John Muir Way which also passes through interesting geological areas. The only disappointment was despite all the lobsters being caught, no local restaurant/stalls served lobster!"
