"Nice mountain resort hotel with a view of the lake. Check in was easy and room was large. We had half board - food was good but probably due to communication problem, we were not served Japanese-style dinner like the local tourists. However breakfast was Japanese. There was a nice onsen too. There was a slight problem in the morning when water was cut off, but it was restored just before check out. "This place is awesome. I wish we had stayed longer. We stopped here for the night because it is the half way point for the Shimanami Kaido bike route. The residence was an independent structure with a large window looking out to the sea and the bridge. Sunrise was gorgeous. The unit has a beautiful bathroom, very nice bedroom and new clean kitchen. Everything about the residence was top-notch, including the amenities. The breakfast and dinner that we chose were amazing. Loved this place. "

"Great location, convenient to the Shimanami bike rental and the ferry for starting our ride across Shimanami Kaido. Very accommodating about storing our luggage and arranging to send it to Imabari when we made a last minute change to our cycling plans because of the weather. Economy rooms were tiny but comfortable."

"There is a beautiful Japanese garden at the back of the hotel, that you can spend hours in. It is very helpful if you have had a long flight from overseas and want a day to help with jet lag. If you are a senior, with ID proving your age, it is free to enter. The buffet breakfast is fine. There are reasonable priced meals at the bar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful."

"I made a mistake while reserving and arrived the day after (the day I thought I had booked). They were very kind to allow me to check in without paying again. That was a great gesture. Nice hotel close to the port, and 20 minutes from the train station. Breakfast was good. "
