"2nd time staying at an ∧ Hostel. Affordable, clean, and the staff / amenities are pretty good. Will happily stay again next time that I visit Osaka. Highly recommended."

"Staff was friendly and the property was very clean. A big downside however was that the hostel is located right under a rail line, which makes the entire building shudder whenever a train passes by overhead. Though I only stayed over for a short while, I was satisfied with my stay."

"L'entrée dans l'auberge se fait seul avec toutes les instructions fourni dans la BAL. L'espace pour dormir est correct (l'espace livre situé au dessus/en dessous de la case aussi!, l'auberge est bien équipé pour faire sa toilette, le rapport qualité/prix est correct, de nombreux restaurants autour... je recommande pour les voyageurs de passage!"

"Worst hostel I’ve been in Japan. It’s dirty, noisy and smelly. The beds are not fixed so it very noisy when you move. The rooms are not well ventilated and smells bad. You can find better for the price. "

"The private room was quite large and the service was excellent. I love that they have an assortment of board games in the common area, as well as a dart board! Minor gripes: * There are only two washing machines and two dryers. On at least two occasions I had to reschedule my laundry chores because both were occupied at the time. "Stefan and Daniel were great hosts. They are friendly, inviting and building a great culture for travelers. Whether it’s your first time in Osaka or you’re a frequent visitor, Backstage is a great place to make new friends. It’s also a bonus that they serve the best expression martini’s in all of Osaka. Thank you guys for your hospitality and retrieving my parcel while I was in Kyoto!"

"Kind staff, phenomenal location, and beautiful room! It’s located a short walk away from main shopping streets as well as Nara Park. It did not bother me however it’s worth mentioning that there are multiple bathrooms to share between the guests and the walls are very thin so sounds other make can be heard easily. However, when next in Nara, I will certainly stay here again!"

"I particularly chose the Mikado for being good value for money and there's a hot bath and sauna downstairs. They have specific hours for men and women use, but it worked for me. I stayed in a traditional Japanese futon bedroom for first four nights of my stay and a standard single bedroom for the last two nights. Rooms are very small, but still have a refrigerator and work desk and room for a large suitcase. It was comfortable and all I needed. Wash facilities and toilets are in each floor, but...

Great hotel , for a Universal visit and Osaka

"Amazing hotel , best of our two week stay in Japan . The staff were lovely and very helpful in all aspects , from Check in , Concierge, and Cleaning staff . The hotel is super convenient for a Universal visit and much nicer being away from the maddening crowd of Universal City walk hotels . We got a great room facing the Bridge and Ferris wheel light display , with a great ledge to watch it from every night ! Thank you for a great stay for our family , with adjacent rooms , both upgraded , amazing 😻. 7-11 store next door and station straight across the road , one stop to Universal City . We did not get time to visit the Public baths or Rooftop lounge , they looked great ."
