"House is surrounded by woods in a mountainous area. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. We even played horseshoes in the yard. House has everything you would need. We definitely over packed. It is about a 45 minute drive to Lake George, restaurants, and a Walmart. Highly recommend visiting Martha's ice cream. The wifi is slow...assuming due to the area. My only complaint would be the upstairs master bed. It is creaky and uncomfortable. Would love to visit again during a more peak season. "

"Trout House resort was perfect for our trip. It was on a peaceful plot of property right across from the Northern part of Lake George. It some traditional outdoor activities available for kids of all ages (putting green, a couple basketball hoops, badminton/ volleyball and a beach area with a beautiful dock. The staff were friendly and helpful. "
