"Disappointing experience. When checking in, I had asked if our room was ready as per our specific requirements. I was repeatedly told it was ready only to find that it wasn’t when we got to the room. It took over an hour to get this done. We were not advised there was a wedding taking place the day we arrived. "Royalton used to be great place to stay. Current management is very non-customer oriented. Increasing in cost, decreasing in service. Breakfast buffet far fewer items now. Though minibar indicated as included in price, alas, no minibar. Have to beg for towels. At least the long-time staff members still friendly, albeit being restricted by current management in assisting the guests. I miss the old Royalton of even just three years ago. "

"This is an amazing palace, but it does not live up to either its reputation or high room tariff insofar as the Hyderabadi cuisine at their Indian restaurant. The food was not up to standard and did not have an authentic Hyderabadi taste or flavor! They need to hire a local Hyderabadi chef who knows “gharana food!” The restaurant staff are very courteous and accommodating, but again, the quality of food left much to be desired. "Lovely staff, comfortable room and great stay. The one downside was that there was an electricity outage for 45 minutes making elevator access and room facilities unavailable- it was during the middle one day so possibly less of an issue for most guests, but still surprising to happen at this kind of property. Perhaps it was unusual."
