"Excellent location, room are spacious and even though above the tavern you cannot hear any noise below. Breakfast was lovely, good choices. We parked near the castle (castle street car park) was £8 for 24 hours. Would highly recommended staying here "

"This place was ideal for me on my journey across the UK. I called to inform of check in quite late, e.g. 8.30-9pm, was no trouble and even offered food if I was going to be later. Arrived around 8pm, all the food looked good, lovely menu for indian cuisine. Rooms are in a building adjacent, can park outside your room. nice and clean, bottled water & toiletries - a little dated in some aspects but nothing wrong, will use again."

The high ceiling in the living/2nd bed area was nice and contributed to the majestic feel.There were however a few things that could have been better. "Had an excellent stay here, staff very friendly and accomodating, rooms spotless, food excellent for both evening meal and breakfast and very reasonably priced. Only slight negative was the room maybe needs some slight updating, the carpet was coming away from the wall and was fraying and the kettle had to be used on the floor as the flex didnt reach the plug socket.
