"This is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed at- beautifully clean, great facilities and so many lovely thoughtful touches! It really felt like luxury as everything was just so high quality. The underfloor heating, log burner and amazing mattress/sheets were highlights for us! Loved the complimentary extras too, particularly the pint of milk as you often forget to bring that when you arrive in the evening. The view from the kitchen is very special when you’re making your morning cup of tea....

"The property itself was incredibly quiet and on one side of a cobbled stable area. Every morning and evening, the owner's three elderly horses were led to and from the nearby field and we could often see the horse looking over his stable door from our bedroom window - the pony and Shetland pony weren't tall enough to look over! We saw several deer and hares near the cottage on the grounds. The cottage is in the grounds of Spital House; it was initially hard to find from the directions and maps...

"Quiet and peaceful. Property exactly as advertised with lovely small garden area and small field amongst trees out the back, with deer spotted one morning. Very clean, owner had thought of everything from small torches in drawers to cleaning materials in cupboards and spare lightbulbs if required.
