"The shower was inadequate— no hot water. We let the front desk know and they were very sweet and moved us to a new room. Unfortunately, that room also had no hot water. So we had to deal with barely warm/cold showers for the entire stay… and for the price of the hotel per night this seemed unreasonable. The hotel staff acknowledged that there had been other complaints and that they were looking into it. We had to dispute a charge for being upgrade for the inconvenience which was taken care of...

"We loved the hotel.it was clean, comfortable, nice beds, great view of the ocean. But they needed to remove the ice from the sidewalk and entrance to parking garage. This was a safety hazard someone could fall and get seriously injured. "

"Beautiful little boutique hotel on East Bay Street convenient to great restaurants and shopping. The staff was very helpful and always smiling. We loved our room. Lots of light, big bathroom, balcony overlooking East Bay. A very nice continental breakfast. And as a bonus Carmella's is right next door. Open til midnight. Best carrot cake ever! Hey - you're on vacation!"

"If you come to Charleston, this property is a hidden gem! Just a half block off King street shopping and in a neighborhood surrounded by some outstanding eating. Service is impeccable and the grounds have understated elegance. Too many helpful service people to name them all. My new favorite in this city."

"I would love to give Excellent ratings, but the smell of smoke was so strong in the elevator and in my room that it irritated my eyes and throat. The room size was wonderful and having a full kitchen was a game changer. Great communication with staff and security was great as well. "

We used the pool every day—it was lovely and heated! And, the property was located at the end of a peaceful alley and it was surrounded by a beautiful garden. A truly peaceful retreat!"
