"Hinotani is a seasonal find, like a good sake or cigar by the riverside, with tatami rooms, intelligent and proactive staff, and a Japanese experience that is local but aims to be international. The water park below is an eyesore that runs to summer end, but the food and room view in the morning - don't look down - are Japan's essentials, and add fall moon, nice baths, local drink and humor in F1season , and the immediate patron reflection is 'when will I be back?',"

"The room is not so big, but it should be considered as a spacious room in Japan. It is clean and the location is good. A big shopping mall, AEON, is within few minutes walk. The hotel is offering parking and spa onsite free. Everything is good except the toilet is too high from the floor in the bedroom floor. For aged or kids, it's maybe not friendly."

"Wonderful place to stay. Simple, clean room with a comfortable bed. That bathroom was functional and the water pressure was excellent. Not a thing to complain about. The staff were lovely. I did not go for the breakfast, but my dietary restrictions make it easier to just hit one of many fantastic local grocery stores in the morning. Would stay again. Easy walk to Suzuka Circuit. Nice and flat."

"The hotel wasn’t fancy, but it was competent. It is a slightly upscale business hotel. The rooms were cramped but clean, and the breakfast offerings were smaller than usual, but the menu was thoughtful and offered something for everybody. The hotel seeks to differentiate itself with a family-friendly image. "While the staff were friendly and the entrance to the hotel seemed nice, the room wasn’t cleaned properly. There were hairs all over the bathroom. The walls were faded and stained in spots. The walls were thin. I could hear children playing across the hall and a group having a drinking party in their room at the other end of the building. In short, it was an old business hotel badly in need of renovation. "

"This hotel gave us a surprise if its room size which is bigger than expected. There are also chairs with coffee table in the room which is rare in most of the hotel rooms in Japan. Hotel’s breakfast is fantastic and hotel owner is really putting lots of efforts and heart in its hospitality to all guests."

A bit far, but lovely stay

"Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The onsens are an additional nice touch. The downside is how far it is from the downtown area, but the shuttle makes that a non issue, also the bus drops you off right at the door. A convenience store nearby is also good if you need late night food."

Great place to stay, very convenient

"This is a great place to stay in Ise, where there is a limited selection of hotels. Very close to the railway station and the outer shrine, short bus ride to the outer shrine. Its not fancy but offers good clean accommodation at a very reasonable price if booked well enough in advance. It was my second stay and I would choose this place again if I sent there again."
