"A great experience from the beginning. Easy parking across the street. Efficient checkin even when there was a tour bus. Small but comfortable room. Convenient location. Good breakfast and fantastic onsen walkable to everything. "

"We loved our stay at Ryokan Sansui. The view of the mountains around the hotel were amazing with tri-colored foliage. The staff were also very lovely and kind. The food was also delicious and more than I had expected. Communication wasn't too easy, but the message would get across. The best part was, of course, the onsen (hot spring) experience. They offer both public (gender-separated) hot springs and baths, as well as 4 private ones that don't need prior booking or extra fees. Getting there...

"I understand Toyoko Inns are not five star luxury hotels but I was still a tiny bit disappointed at how basic the facilities were. The room was tiny but they made good use of the space. The breakfast buffet was very basic but decent and free so what can you expect? Ultimately, the hotel was cheap and it had a great location only a block from the main train station. One tip, there is a food hall right in front called Tsunagu Yokocho. I knew about it from a YouTube video and I was pleasantly...

"Enjoyed our one night stay here. Booked one hour private onsen and thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and waterfall scene. Also did the public onsen and enjoyed it as well. Yukata clothing and towels are provided. Excellent service and a sense of luxury even though the hotel itself is dated. Good breakfast."

"This is a big hotel in Okuhida onsengo area, having amasing baths (onsen). We came for both the springs and the winter illumination experience and we had both. Loved it. The outdoor baths (shared) are great. We also tried hida meet as well as local hotel specialities, like turtle soup and caviar, highly recommended. I would love to come back one day."
