"Richard was a great host though there were quite a lot of strict rules sent before fhe stay and during which made us feel a bit on edge! Felt a bit like someone had let us stay in their home rather than we were paying guests. But the house is immaculate and grand so I can see why care is needed. The area is very quiet and theres not alot in the nighbouring towns. Probably Alnwick a 15-20 min drive away is your biggest town. You need to be self carering but kitchens well equipped. "This house has it all. Beautiful garden with hot tub and bbq hut. Inside the garden room with log burner was a great place to hang out . Only 5 minutes drive to Hawick so we went every day to do walks and pick up groceries. We were able to cook a full Christmas dinner in the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed it in spacious dining room."

"This is a large farmhouse that can host a big group. It is very comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed the property but be aware that it is part of a group of houses, so you have neighbours next door... This is not a major issue and made up by the great views. Perhaps one suggestion would be to add a BBQ grill, and a new frying pan... The location is great and the town of Anwick a gem to visit. We really enjoyed Nothumberland!"
