"Excellent stay in this wonderful traditional hotel / coaching inn. We had a newly refurbished room with a very comfortable bed. Dinner and breakfast were tasty and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. A wonderful hotel stay."

"My wife and I stayed at Somerville House when we visited for a friends wedding. A warm welcome and a room that had every amenity that you could need, from a mini fridge to a kettle and an iron, and more..I liked the honesty bar facility as well. A comfortable bed and room. the hotel is a short 15 min walk into the City centre. The breakfast was excellent with a choice of fruit and cereals and a choice of hot breakfasts, coupled with a cafetiere of good coffee. The service was friendly. We found it to be perfect for our needs and would recommend. "

"When we arrived a notice said we could order logs for the hot tub but on contacting the person he was away until the following week so a bit disappointing Also it stated shampoo body wash etc would be available but we had nothing The overall experience was brilliant just a couple of little tweaks needed "

"A wonderful pub and restaurant, with very convenient accommodation attached. The staff looked after us well. There was a good selection of food for dinner, and the breakfast was outstanding. There was some noise from passing traffic, but this was not overly distracting. Would definitely stay here again."
