"We had high hopes for this ryokan, and while the stay was overall great, there were a few downsides. The property itself is gorgeous, and the staff was kind and attentive, but the place definitely had a noticeable mildew smell, which took away from the experience a bit. Unfortunately, we missed out on both breakfast and dinner because we didn’t book those in advance (lesson learned). I tried reaching out 24 hours before check-in but never got a response, so just a heads-up to plan meals ahead...

"Absolutely loved our stay here! We booked a room with a private onsen and included the dinner and breakfast meal plan. The views were incredible, the food amazing and the staff was very helpful pointing out the laundry facilities and a pedestrian walking path nearby. They even gave us sparklers to light on the beach for our last night. Hope to stay again!"

"Flash hotel with an incredible view! Each place has got a bath tub on the balcony. The rooms are newly renovated and as everyone says they have an open bar and they allow you to take drinks upstairs, didn’t eat at restaurant. Everything closes nearby at 2:30 so I suggest you bite the expensive bullet and get the meal plan. Location is great inbetween dogashima and zojima. Definitely geared for Japanese couples. "The onsen baths were really lovely. The room was beautiful. The staff were so helpful. Only critisism is that is smelled a bit musty, but there was a typhoon outside so that probably wasnt helping"
