"When we arrived at the lodge we were supposed to be staying in there was another family there who said the lodge they were supposed to be staying in was occupied so they were given this lodge. We rang the contact number and he apologised, we were provided the key code for another lodge and when i opened the door that was occupied as there was a dog in there. "We absolutely loved our break away and will definitely be visiting again The hosts had thought of everything. A lovely welcome package including a bottle of wine and chocolate as well as milk and bread. Very thoughtful. The host greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly. Our 15month old had just learnt to walk and loved the spacious lodge to run around in. He also loved being able to see the cows from the room he slept in! Thank you so much "

"Lodge was adequate for our needs as a base for two day trips to Alton Towers. Bedrooms and Bathrooms were great but the living areas and kitchen need some upgrades as the sofas and dining chairs very uncomfortable due to over use. The kitchen was adequate - however the hob didn’t work the oven wasn’t easy to use and there was a dishwasher which was listed so we didn’t bring tablets for that and don’t expect to find a dish cloth to clean or wash dishes."

"We were made very welcome by the owner Graham, everything supplied in the welcome pack, even dishwasher and washing tablets. Beautiful clean lodge with amazing views and very private. Hot tub is gorgeous after a long day of walking. Plenty of local walks but poorly sign posted through fields if you didn’t want to walk on the lanes or busy roads. Would probably drive to a location and walk rather than trek from lodge when we return which we are already planning for winter."

"A lovely little hut in a perfect location. Check out time is 9am so if we were to return, I think it would have to be for a minimum of two nights as 9am is pretty early so we didn’t even have time for breakfast before we had to clean up and check out. Considering the price and the small space, I think a complimentary addition of bits in the fridge would be good. Lots of places I’ve visited for the same price (and less!) on Vrbo have added in fresh bread, butter, orange juice and even Prosecco...

"Good convenient location in heart Sheffield. Stayed before, when new so looking a bit tired now. A great room with good facilities mini kitchen etc. Very comfortable, could be noisy as room this time on street level. But luckily a quiet street in Sheffield and a quiet Saturday night. "

"Fantastic cottage for our short break. Communication with owner and directions to the property were perfect. The cottage was spotless on arrival and the pool was even better than the photos. The surrounding area was beautiful and great for walking. All in all one of the best short breaks we’ve ever had."
