"My fiancé and I stayed here for one night after completing the Kinder Scout climb. It was easy to find and the service was fantastic as soon as we came in the door. The environment was warm, inviting and had a cosy feel to it - just what you need after a whole day of walking. We had some drinks with a ‘pie and a pint’ offer for £18 which was absolutely delicious. We also shared a starter and dessert which were equally as delicious. We slept really well, the bedroom was so nice and bed was soft...

"The Moon has great character, a fascinating history (I'm distantly related to many of the past owners from the 1800s), excellent amenities, and excellent breakfasts. I enjoyed my dinners there, too. Josh and Emma from the staff were both very friendly and helpful to me. The parking is easy, the inn centrally located in the heart of the village, and lots of local characters stop by for a pint and folks from further afield for a meal. A quintessential Derbyshire experience. Not my first time...

"I spent two nights hear so saw lots of different staff and they was all amazing. I had the single room which is probably only a few inches off been a double, so great. I had two evening meals which were both fantastic and also fantastic value for money. But the breakfast is the show stopper for me. If you like a full English you will love this hotel"

"Another really comfortable stay in quality surroundings and a warm welcome from the staff. The Hart Suite is cosy and welcoming with great views over the surrounding countryside. My first choice of hotel when heading north or south as it’s very conveniently located near the M1 - but feels much further away thanks to its tranquil location. "Awesome stay. Gorgeous pub serving delicious food. Staff were brilliant, even got us toothpaste from one of their houses as we had forgotten it and arrived late. Only negative was the breakfast time only ran from 8:30-9am (Monday). I didn't make it as I wanted to enjoy a sleep in. "
