"The Stables was very well equipes, clean and tidy. Had we been at a warmer time of year, we would have made more use of the gardens. Great location for walking. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a few days"

"Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh."
