"This is a great location - may be the closest spot to stay on the way to the park that includes the beach. Accommodations are simple, but the price is right. We stayed here with 6 adults. The pull-out bed downstairs was cracked in the middle so the mattress sagged. I told the host about it after we left and he said he had a guy who would fix the bed."

"The best thing I can say is the beds were very comfortable very quiet neighborhood at night. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Purple Door. The views were spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on the deck. My husband taught my daughter to fish and she loved the dock area. We did use the amenities at Captain’s Cove and drove out to Assateague Island to see the horses. The location is tucked away from major attractions but we got used to the drive after the first day. The neighbors were friendly. Enjoyed our stay !"

Wonderful Location

"Cute cottage perfect for 2 people. Beautiful views of the bay/waterway across from the nature reserve. Lots of birds to see from property/screened in porch. Walking distance to a couple restaurants but also a close drive to Main Street (restaurants and shopping). Short drive or bike to nature reserve and beach. We greatly enjoyed our stay and already booked the cottage for a week next fall."
