We were so disappointed to discover on the last day that there was another side to the breakfast menu which we hadn't turned over! "The hotel is a large old inn on the outside, but inside is modern, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. For example: we were shown to our room on arrival (never had that before) and were a font of knowledge about the various local walks and sights. There is even a map painted on the ceiling of the bar! Restaurant was an excellent source of hearty and freshly cooked meals (breakfasts and dinners). Highly recommend."

"This is the 3 rd time we have stayed at the Wild Boar and we decided to Upgrade our room this time . Unfortunately the shower had not be cleaned and had cobwebs hanging from It clearly Indicating it had not been cleaned throughly for some time . All staff were friendly and the meals are fantastic unfortunately the standard of cleanliness of the shower somewhat tarnished the stay as the room upgrade was significantly more expensive than the standard rooms. "

"After reading a review in a paper we decided to try for ourselves. The George and Dragon staff were so welcoming and friendly easy to talk to and very helpful. Our room was clean and tidy with lovely en-suite shower room , soft towels and toiletries . Breakfast and evening meal was delicious all staff made sure our dining experience was so comfortable. "The property is undoubtedly small. It was very clean and comfortable - a perfect base for exploring this wonderful area. Plenty of grocery stores and pubs/restaurants in surrounding area. A very steep narrow staircase leading to the second level of the property. I note this has been mentioned in other reviews too. Overall, my wife and I were very satisfied with the property."
