The room was a little dated but had all we needed and was well maintained and clean which is more important than the era of furniture (think 1990s pine era). The initial lack of signage for the car park had us almost parking out the front in a car park full of pot holes but as we got out we realised the car park was round...

"A one night stay in central Stamford worked well. Very old building and very quirky. I called to see where i could park and the owner came out and showed me a space in his car parking area. Breakfast was in a fridge in the room with fresh milk , cereals, tea coffee etc which was fine. Be prepared for small stairs!"
