"Overall the place is a nice quiet getaway in the woods. Be prepared for lots of DIY when it comes to the sauna and all other wood burning stove fires. An issue for concern, if you stay in the Shire Suite, the front room is solely heated by the wood burning stove and the ventilation is very limited. VERY smokey throughout our entire stay. Also there’s a tin roof so if it’s raining (it did our whole stay) the noise is REALLY loud making it almost impossible to sleep. Pray for no rain at night....

"We booked this home to have family and friends celebrate our small and intimate wedding.(Be advised this is not a wedding venue). It worked perfectly for us. The home comfortably slept our 12 guests and was just as advertised, pictures and all. The kitchen was large and set up to provide for spacious entertaining.
