Cottage and working farm in heart of Virginia wine country near UVA & Woodberry

"Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay on this lovely farm! The cottage is authentic, comfortable, and well-equipped. Our boys most enjoyed playing with the friendly family pets, as well as taking a stroll through the fields to see some farm animals. The hosts also have a restaurant in town where we had a delightful meal during our stay. My only regret is that our schedule was so full of events that we didn't have even more time to spend in this beautiful and relaxing atmosphere."

"Our stay at the Shenandoah Crossing was wonderful! The setting was beautiful and the cabin was awesome! Very clean and modern with the rustic feel. All staff at the lodge were helpful and very nice! Our family enjoyed our stay very much! We’re already talking about making this a yearly trip! Thank you! The only thing I could suggest is to please list the incidental fee amount on the confirmation information. Other than that our trip was much more than we anticipated!!"

The outside area could use some sprucing up.i.e. Cabins need to be restained, not enough parking for company. Vegetation around cabins should probably be eliminated. The pavillion by the pool was great for a visit with our many cousins, ample parking. Loved the new pickleball courts. It would be handy to have paddles to rent. I didn’t bring enough. Wanted to...

"Sadly, our yurt was covered in spider webs that hadn’t been cleaned and we had rodents, spiders (wolf and black widow!!) and couldn’t sleep. Otherwise I will say we had fun, liked the property and things to do. Would just not stay in a yurt again."
