"On our way to Melissa's we were informed that the location changed as the advertised holiday location was no longer in use. We were directed to another location in Strand that did not have a garden/swimming pool or any view. It looked like a half way completed flat with small living quarters. When we said we are unhappy, or and my family was asked to wait while an alternative arrangement was made. After 30minutes we've decided to seek other accommodation and requested our money back. For which...

"I love the hardwood floors, doors&windows, and creaky stairway to the guestrooms. The rooms are meticulously appointed and each has a walkout to the veranda. This lodge is only 2-3 mins. walking to Gordon's Bay beach! The staff - Manager Sonja and her helpers Cynthia and Kudzai, could not possibly have been sweeter. And dear me!... The home-cooked breakfasts, including eggs, cereals, toast&butter and marmelaides, as well as coffee, tea and fruit juice... make for a perfect way to start the day...

"The place changed owners very recently. Still needs some touch up on small things but the manager was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and the view spectacular."
