Only one place in town to eat out so a kitchen with all amenities for cooking was much appreciated and enjoyed.We loved our stay here - hoping to come back and stay again."

"Beautiful property that suited our needs well. Very well located close to everything in Richmond and on the North edge of the Nelson area so closer to Abel Tasman. Bathroom has been recently remodeled and was very nice; kitchen is fairly dated (pretty sure the built-in microwave oven was at least 40 years old -- it took forever to heat up items). The listing didn't mention a BBQ but there was indeed a Weber BabyQ grill propane bottle provided for renters. Would definitely rent the property...

"We had the privilege to being the first guest at Higgs Rest and it didn’t disappoint. The place was better than the photos and exceeded our expectations. Jeanette was a lovely host, very responsive to all our communications and added those homely touches, breakfast supplies and fresh flowers in each of the rooms. The entire property is beautifully presented both inside and out. Great location, for food supplies Connings Food Market and local shops in Wakefield, spoilt for choice as well...

Hosts are great.Several things to keep in mind:- there are steep stairs for one of the beds;- other stairs are hard metal, so slippers are recommended;- couch in the living room can accommodate one kid sleeping."
