Lots of restaurants within walking distance and there is free parking at the Convento Sao Francisco is a short 5 min walk away and it is open from 7am to Midnight so we parked our car there and either walked or took cabs to any place we wanted. "I loved and reserved a room in the old building but got put in a modern addition; steep stairs to descend in middle of the night to toilet (75years old); noisy party till after midnight."
