"The unit we had was on the 3rd floor but since the elevator was temporarily out of service, Andre, the manager carried our bags up for us. He was most accommodating. He hand the night assistant, Phillipe is also very helpful. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and there is free parking at the Convento Sao Francisco is a short 5 min walk away and it is open from 7am to Midnight so we parked our car there and either walked or took cabs to any place we wanted. "The staff was immediately friendly and kind. They helped us upgrade our room, leave our bags before check-in, and gave us a tour of the guesthouse. The kitchen was clean and big. The room was beautiful and comfortable. There is no soap or shampoo but it was okay as we brought our own. "

"Safe, walkable, and very close to everything I wanted to walk to. The property sent me a code to enter the bldg the day before my arrival. I arrived at 1:30pm or so, and since my room was almost ready I was given the option to wait in the kitchen, which I did. "Bedding and towels and toilet roll not replaced, only one pillow each and never anyone on the desk, you had to call a number to contact anyone. Over all it was clean and very well priced. "The apartment made us experience the life in the old city which was nice. But the place was not as shown on the reservation site (the bedroom was not made of stonewalls). Also, it didn’t look like it was well taken care of. The electric blinds were worn out and one literally fell off the wall. I wrote an email to the owner but never heard from them. I slept one night out of 3 because there is zero insonorisation and the party from down the hill goes from 11:00 until 5:00 in the morning! ...

"Big room in a quiet old manor/estate. A bit hard to find, google did okay however the entrance was not signed very well. Stairs to room, good breakfast and quiet area. Grounds are dated but the house is clean and spacious. Host was helpful offering maps of the area and ideas for restaurants. "

"The property was fantastic and exactly what we were hoping for. A huge villa with lots of rooms and space to spread out for the whole family. The villa was very clean and well prepared and the host was wonderful when we had a delay in our arrival. She met us at 23.00 to give us the keys and show us around. The river beach area was only 10 min walk and is great for outdoor activities. Fab stay."

"We LOVED our stay here! Right from when we checked in, we got a glass of champagne and a snack, followed by a wonderful breakfast hand delivered to our room the next morning. Everything was spotless, and the staff was very welcoming. The only thing that you should be aware of is there is no lift, so if you can’t do stairs, ask for a main floor suite. Highly recommend this place in Coimbra! "

"I book this property because I needed an over night stay during my road trip through Portugal. My only regret not staying longer. Staff: Friendly, nice and very accommodating. Accommodations: the property has a unique design with a full service restaurant on the roof. The rooms are just pictured and surprisingly comfortable. Location: Central right by the bridge with shops and sights literally around the corner. Back to the food… I had one of the BEST shrimp dishes I’ve ever had in my life. I’m embarrassed to say it was so good I literally order two of them. Don’t let the concept of the hotel deter you. I had a very enjoyable stay and would stay there again in a heartbeat. "
