"I loved the Dorset Hotel, it had everything you could want, a great food and drink menu (I can highly recommend their whisky selection!) immaculate clean bedrooms, smoking hot water and friendly knowledgeable staff. I was immediately made to feel welcome, and, as a solo traveller, to feel like one of the gang. Being in Derby it’s in a perfect location to access all manner of interests and activities both on the doorstep and further afield. Would have loved to have extended my stay here were it not for having to move on up country."

"Pelican Point Sanctuary was the perfect getaway. We stayed in the Blue Wren for two nights, and it exceeded our expectations. The space was beautifully designed, spacious, and the kitchen was very well-equipped. The location was ideal - a short walk or drive to the shops and cafés in St Helens and only 10 minutes drive from the Bay of Fires. The owners were incredibly friendly too, and made our stay even more enjoyable."
