"A wonderfully modern hotel that is tastefully decorated with spacious rooms. All the check-in staff were great as were the restaurant staff at breakfast as they were also always very friendly and professional. The only very minor issue was that we could tell that on one particular day the sheets were made but not changed as we would have expected. Apart from that, this is a fantastic place to stay and highly recommended."

"Our room was upgraded so had a wonderful spacious room. I liked the idea of a rustic old inn feel. On site pub and restaurant was convenient. Easy parking and access to the cataract gorge and riverside walkways were a bonus as it encouraged us to exercise everyday during our stay. CBD with restaurants and shops are within 20min walking distance and we walked to the growers market, gardens and the museum instead of driving. The Pantry and Lebanese Gourmet were a surprise finds. "We made a spur of the moment decision to travel to Devonport (from Hobart) so that we could then go to Cradle Mountain, after the overnight stay. The room we stayed in (2 x queen bed, port view) was very comfortable and great value ($181 per night). The only thing slightly annoying was the lack of car parking options close to the hotel, we reluctantly paid a $25 concierge fee, at least the car was secure. Overall, we would recommend. "The Hotel has a long history of how Hobart was like in the late 1800s and its decor reflects that, very impressive. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, our room was excellent. Choice of dinning was good and happy hour is every day between 5 - 6, nice wines and beer. Highly recommend it."

"Great place to stay in Launceston. Handy to most facilities. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking on site Beas good and the staff were helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when we next visit Launceston."
