"Terrible and a scam! We were placed in a house that was not the one in the photos. It’s not even a question of a worn down condition of the same house the owner took the liberty to place my party including (3) children in one of two houses in the property with the shared pool and didn’t confess until the end of 1st night when I called her over to ask what was going on as the condition and the design were completely different. Of course full payment was completed and she told a bogus story that our hose had AC that worked; while the house we booked had issues. In reality the house we stayed in was run down, had 2 live wasps nests, low water pressure, no AC even though she claimed it did. It was so bad we took the risk of losing all our money and left after one night. This house is posted under (2) different names on Expedia including “Villakwetu” so the bad reviews are not visible to all..don’t be fooled. Having been traveling to the Kenyan coast for almost a decade and using Expedia for 20 years I am appalled the owner could get away with stealing the money and not being forced to verify the claims on VRBO. Buyers beware! "

"Hospitable staff and excellent service. The property is not new but still in good shape. We saw monkeys hoping in the big coconut trees from our balcony (seaview). Everything is clean including swimming pool, nice fresh air. We hopped on tuktuk (three wheel motorbikes) to the town (about 2km away) for forex and shopping. We detested the salty shower at first but got used it eventually (just don't drink it). "

"We had an absolutely amazing time at LalaGalu. There are too many individuals to name that made our stay amazing. We will definitely be coming back. A big highlight was the food which was unbelievable! Big credit to the chefs. "

"When we booked, I was unaware that I booked a villa. Boy oh boy was it huge. Everyone had tons of space. There was multiple balcony's to relax at. The Villa had a third story balcony. There are a couple pools and our Villa had an ocean view. The staff was friendly and security team was great. Le Cafe is the onsite restaurant. The food was good to great at all times. The kids enjoyed their custom ordered pizzas and the fries. We had to order extra baskets of fries as the ate them too quickly. Another big hit was the homemade icecream milkshakes. The beach was very nice in this area. Unlike closer to the Diani airport there was not a lot of rocks or coral pieces underfoot. The sand was incredibly soft. So was very comfortable getting in and out. *There are some beach boys in this area, but they was not very pushy or annoying. I never felt bad for saying no. I think since Galu is at the end of the strip it made for a calmer experience this time. One last note, it was easy to get Glovo deliveries for anything not at the hotel. Enjoy your stay. I will gladly book again."
