"Beautiful hotel situated on an ancient farm. The “new” buildings were constructed 200-300 years ago, yet are totally modern inside. Gardening is beautiful. Staff are incredibly friendly, caring and helpful. Breakfast was great and presented in a personal, pleasant way on a lovely patio. We loved this place—the best so far on our 3-week tour of Southern Italy and Sicily."

"This was a last minute booking for one night at half 3 in the afternoon. What a fantastic find! There wasn't much around at the end of October and based on reviews and us having a car, we went for this. "The rooms and common spaces here are beautiful and it's centrally located in Noto. Breakfast is delivered to your room on a cart. Nice balcony, lovely courtyard. "The hotel is all new and clean! Very modern and a huge a beautiful terrasse on the top of the hotel (3rd floor). Free welcome drink was also offered. The breakfast was good and delicious offering eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheese, different pastries, fruits… very close to the beach and they are renting chairs with and umbrella and beach towels if needed. Not much restaurant close by thought."

"This property was excellent! Very close to town but beautiful property. We were only able to stay one night, but breakfast was wonderful. "We lucked out finding this place for a couple of nights. The room was fabulous! We especially enjoyed the patio with comfy chairs We enjoyed the last two days of warm sunny weather at the end of the season. We had to venture to neighboring villages for dinner as the closing season saw Fontane Bianche grew quiet. The breakfast service was lovely. I would like to see more towel bars...this seems an issue with plenty of hotels. I would recommend this resort hotel to all my friends."

This charming and inviting stay was a wonderful complement to our visit to southeastern Sicily!

" We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Falaride! Our hosts, Angela and her husband were lovey and happily accommodating to our needs before and during our stay (Angela and her husband both speak very good English). When we arrived at the property, they were there to greet us with a warm and spirited introduction and tour of their beautiful home and property, perched on the sea. They also took time to orient us to the places we wanted to visit and local restaurants to enjoy. The home and property were immaculate and comfortable. Being lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean was dreamy, and because we wanted to enjoy cooking, we found the kitchen well equipped, although several of the teflon pans were badly scratched and therefore unable to use. There is a hot tub, but if you intend to use it, let them know in advance because it takes a while for it to heat up and we missed an opportunity to use it. The property was perfectly located within close driving distance to Siracusa, Ortigia, Noto, Ragusa and Modica. I highly recommend this beautiful property if you are intending to visit southeastern Sicily! "

"We had two ‘Comfort Rooms’ and our whole stay was EXCELLENT from the moment we arrived. We were formally welcomed by the owner add seen to our rooms which were really lovely, spacious, modern and very well presented with a lovely bottle of wine. The facilities around the complex were very clean, secure, privates and the pool area was good size and fabulous! Breakfast was very varied from choices of cereal, cheeses, eggs, bacon to whole range of yummy cakes! All the staff were GREAT! very polite, happy to help and always smiling! The beautiful sandy beaches of Avola are 10mins drive away. The whole stay was FABULOUS and can’t rate the place high enough, other to say I travelled the whole of Sicily and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed as a family -Go experience it and enjoy your time in Avila, Noto, Siracusa and all the other surrounding towns. "

"Great renovated hotel in a small sleepy town of Avola with an easy access to free beaches, free street parking. Nice helpful hostess and her staff. Luxury rooms, good continental breakfast, quiet area for a very small price! I strongly recommend it. In case you drive a car and want to visit sights in neighboring Syracuse, do not fall for expensive options in Syracuse, stay in this hotel and simply drive very short distance to Syracuse and use historical area available parking and walk to all major sights. "

Great holiday let

"The house is spacious and comfortable, situated in a quiet but convenient area. Avola is 5 minutes away, the motorway linking Messina, Catania, Siracusa and Gela is also a few minutes drive from the house.A car is essential. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. If we had a problem they responded immediately. As for this area of Sicily there is lots to do. Beach lovers are well catered for and there are plenty of possibilities for hikers. The beautiful towns of Siracusa, Noto, Ragusa and Modica are within easy reach. We would certainly love to go back."

Okay- perhaps too early in season

"place okay. Bit early in season. Everything at the accommodation closed at 7pm. Didn’t open again until breakfast at 0730am. Nowhere else to hang as main reception area closed at 1930so confined to pokey room or outside in cold. We were offered a bigger better room at an extra 20e a night on check in which came over as ours was bit rubbish! -which it was ! It was a 15 min drive to Avola on a dodgy road. Little to see in Avola - sea front area was ok but little there due to time of year. Room was small with fridge that hummed heavily so had to switch off. Bed was uncomfortable for two with cheap memory foam mattress that had clearly lost its memory due to the high number of folk who’d slept on it. Pool area good. generally site looked jaded and tired. Wouldn’t hurt to have a few more signs to direct to location. Buffet breakfast okay. Stayed 2 nights. Location good for Noto / Modica/ Ragusa. But be better staying in one of those places in my opinion. Most reviews not for April but later in year - "
