We were really lucky to not have the villa at full capacity when we were there so it was very quiet and at times felt like we had the whole villa to ourselves. "Phenomenal. Stayed in a lot of top class hotels and this is easily one of the best ever. Amazing rooms staff very nice, pool super and grounds nice too. Hotel breakfast and dinner incredible too. Good variety and catered well for vegetarian (one of the most options I've seen for veggie food). Would come back just to stay in this hotel. Only marginal negative was WiFi was surprisingly patchy and quite slow. Would often disconnect."

"The Galle Fort Hotel is a truly lovely boutique property set within the walls of Galle Fort. We stayed in the Grand Apartment room which was gorgeous with fabulous furnishings. The Bar and lounge areas are both lovely and the pool, loved the tiling, was a must to cool off. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was great, wasn't keen on their coffee bean but other than that faultless. All of the Staff are lovely however Shalimar stood out he was always there when needed, extremely helpful and a great character. "

"We had such a pleasant stay at this property. It was so calm and serene. With a stunning view of the fort. There's a small safe area to swim in the ocean as the rest of the sea is quite dangerous. A nice warm pool that offers the same view and peaceful vibe. The dining option for us was a paid dinner that had authentic Sri Lankan food. It wasn't short of any flavour and they did not cut corners - this is coming from a Sri Lankan. The next time I come from Canada and need to visit Galle. I will stay here again without hesitation"

"Lovely hotel in quiet area of Galle just 10 mins from the beautiful old town. Our room was large and well equipped and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The pool was large and set in well kept gardens. Highly recommend! "
