"This property was centrally located to access the wonders of Galle Fort, but set in a quiet lane away from the main foot traffic. The Courtyard and entry to the property burst with colour and wonderful scents. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast options were the best we came across in Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean but moderate in size with limited space for large luggage."

"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"The pictures are not a true reflection of this property. It has the potential to be a very lovely hotel but it is run down and falling apart. The rooms were dirty especially the bathroom. There wasn't a mosquito net for the bed. Service for breakfast was very slow. The pool looks like it needs a good clean. I couldn't even get into it. "

It's brand new, spotlessly clean, and provides hotel standard services despite being a hostel - such as a welcome drink, a cold flannel on arrival, towels on the beds, a tea and coffee area, etc. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. The location is perfect for travellers - it is right by both the train and bus stations, and it's only a pretty...
