"This is an old merchant house that has been nicely remodeled as a hotel. It's smack in the middle of Tomonoura's historic renewal district. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed. This hotel requires some pre-planning: getting the shuttle bus from Fukuyama, making sure basic needs are met (no onsite staff, except at breakfast time). Great hotel in a Nice city

"A few minutes walk from rail station. Clean comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Has a very varied and delicious breakfast. Would stay here again for sure. The cable car that takes you up the mountain to all the sights is a pleasant stroll away along a covered shopping arcade"

Area Inn Fushimicho Fukuyama Castle Side 1-16 - Hostel

"Super close to the train station! Really clean and spacious room and bed. Bathroom is shared with just the people staying in the room. One thing to note is that (at least to my room) you had to go up a steep set of stairs, but the manager was kind enough to carry my bag all the way up!!! You get access to a great co-working cafe and they have recommendations of places they partner with to give you a discount if you go! Highly recommend! "

Great low cost stay with 5 star accommodations

"Its a unique type of hotel staying in a converted shipping container but i like it! Very comfortable and everything was brand new and clean. It was honestly bigger than my Tokyo hotel and it had free parking. They even give you a snack meal for each day you stay per person. Didnt expect that at all. Overall very happy and would return without hesitation"

"Very nice traditional Japanese hotel within 5 minutes walking distance from the Tourist Information Center if you took the public bus. I stayed in a Japanese style room with ocean view and slept on futon laid on tatami. Dinner and breakfast were included in the room rate, and the food was pretty good (kind of in fine-dining style). They have shuttle bus service from and to Fukuyama Station so be sure to take advantage of it. The welcome drink that they serve when you check in was nice."

"部屋がとても綺麗でアメニティもおしゃれでした。特に浴衣とバックがおしゃれでした。朝食は、お正月の特別メニューでお雑煮がありましたが、ホットドッグが食べたかったため、食べませんでした。大浴場もコインランドリーも隣のオリエンタルホテルのが使えるのがとてもいいと思いました。また機会があれば、是非来たいです。"
