"This was the final stop on our journey (and our most anticipated). We stayed in Deshaies to experience the “Death in Paradise” primary filming location. The property was a little haven to rest, have coffee in the AM and just chill from a busy day. It was very comfortable, great showers (inside and outside), awesome eating space outside and wonderful owners. We did not use them, but also has a small private pool and hot tub. Both looked nice. "We had a lovely restful vacation at Les Vanilles. Clarisse is an excellent host, very welcoming and helpful. The gite is just right for a relaxing holiday for a couple- quiet, comfortable, and well located for exploring the Deshaies area & west coast of Basse Terre. We particularly enjoyed walking the coastal trail from Deshaies north to Grande Anse & beyond to beaches to the north, and swimming/snorkelling at local beaches."

"LOCATION was great, right on the water in Grand Case, steps form a nice, roomy beach. Good snorkeling right in front of the house. On restaurant row so the food and drink is amazing everywhere. Close to Orient Beach and that was fun. Shopping and dining in Marigot was great, prices were actually decent. Buy beer and wine and alcohol at the little stores in Grand Case, they sell it cheap and one dollar = one euro!!! (This does not apply at restaurants). Best restaurants were Grand Case Beach Club...

"Both roomy and cozy, this was an inviting little cottage in which to spend a week in the Orient beach area. Pros: Alexandra is a terrific host, extremely responsive and available, as she lives just steps away. A minor plumbing issue arose on Friday night, and it was fixed by Saturday morning. She also did a mid-week sheets and towels exchange, so we had clean linens half-way through our stay. Very nice!
