Cottages in Flevoland

"We were excited about booking this property when reading the posting. When we arrived later in the evening we found the only way to the front door was crossing a rickety, rotted out deck with nails sticking up all over. The strong odor of musty/mold greeted us when we opened the door. Host told us to just open some windows. Then we found there was a ladder type stairs to go up to the sleeping area. "The cottage is in a lovely sunny position, very quiet and the beds are comfortable. It’s not a spacious cottage for 6 adults - the sitting room, main entrance, kitchen and dining area are all the same room; one sofa with 4 seats; very little ‘kitchen’ space but adequate hob and oven. The owner’s family were warm, friendly and helpful. I would stay again if holidaying in Holland, but not with 6 of us, really it suits 4."

"This wonderful little cottage in the woods is the perfect place to relax, explore the dune reserve and get away from it all. You are woken by birds and apart from the wind in the trees, that's the only sound. The house is well equipped and in the perfect location for stroll to the nearby town of Schoorl, or as a base for exploring the surrounding area of dunes and forests and of course, the amazing golden beaches.
