"Well, we picked this one right. Two October weeks at a quiet Cycladic village villa, close to town and beaches but set sufficiently apart to clearly be the real deal. Such was the village of Eggares and this lovely villa, set on a hillside overlooking this largely tourist-free bucolic hamlet (save for a few cars at an olive oil museum), with no neighbors other than a small herd of sheep residing just below us whom we watched daily from our private swimming pool. And, of course, our beck-and-call landlords, Anna and Max, as cheery and helpful as one could hope, yet who graciously left us alone unless needs be (for example: although living on the same property, I’ll confess to never having actually seen their own house). The villa’s furnishings are pretty basic, which is de rigueur for Cyclades’ villas. It is also immaculate, relaxing and utterly comfortable, with all manner of outdoor space to enjoy the pastoral view. And such a view. Eggares has an elegant orthodox church (quite large for a village its size); the customary hillside of white Cycladic homes; a local tavern (“Stella’s”) where the menu is a narrated inspection of the six pots that Stella has stewing that evening; and another restaurant (“O Charis”) that you’ll find on not-a-few “Best of Naxos” lists. But above all, it has wondrous silence. Hey, if you’re party people, this ain’t your place. But if you are looking for a gracious sanctuary after a day about on the island, push the "book" button."

"Smooth check in with friendly staff. Property is quite nice and well kept. Room was spacious and very comfortable. The Included breakfast was decent. Close to downtown no more than 5 minutes walk. The beach on the property was excellent and the food at the beach bar was also good. "

"We visited September 2024 with a large group of 9 adults. The property was exactly as pictured and so spacious we didnt even spend time in all the lounge areas. We loved sitting outside playing games and sharing a meal. The port area was an easy 15 min drive. Communication with the host was great as well. We would come back in an instant and stay here! "

"We had trouble finding the property, which is not an easy drive up narrow roads. Directions would be helpful. Once there, we were warmly greeted by Konstantina who showed us around. She left a delicious platter of cheese and tomatoes, a bottle of wine and some water - a nice touch. She was always on hand to answer our queries. The apartment was clean, stylish and generally well equipped for self catering. The rooms were comfortable and the outside space was perfect for dining and watching the sun set. The hot tub was an added bonus for relaxing after a day out exploring this beautiful island. Konstantina had recommended Story Cars and they were excellent. They met us at the port with our car and collected it there when we left. We would highly recommend this property for those wanting comfort and seclusion. Thank you Konstantina for a great stay. "Great house. Nice shaded area to eat outside. And plenty of other terraces with views over the countryside and village opposite. Inside also good, everything we needed. It was well laid-out: nice views from every room and we could have a decent breeze in the heat. Location is at the back of Glinado, an easy walk away from the bakery, and small collection of village shops. The village is short drive to nice beaches, and far enough away from the busy Naxos town."

"This stunning property was so perfect - I don’t know where to start. This property was a respite in the middle of our family of 5 - 15 days of travel. Villa Themis was my favorite place to stay in all of Greece - it would be perfect for a small wedding or a reunion of family or friends. The home has several bedrooms (which are very comfortable ) each with their own bathroom and plenty of places to gather or find alone time. And the Master bathroom is spectacular! Anna & Andreas left us delicious treats (bread, honey, yogurt,) as well as basics to get us through or first day - eggs, olive oil(made from their own olives!)cheese, lemonade, & wine! We were able to truly relax around the pool after exploring nearby towns & sites. And the kitchen is perfectly appointed with everything you need to make a meal & feed a group. While you need to have a car to get there - it is best to have one to explore the large island. Villa Themis is in a central location & never very far from local attractions. You can even walk to the remains of an ancient Castle (over 2000 yrs old) and watch beautiful sunsets from the rooftop. I would go back to this home every year if I could. What a lovely place & family that oversees it."
