"Alphnorn is on a residential street that also has several other small motels. It is a short walk (using a cut-through) to the lake front and not far to restaurants and shopping, We appreciated having a kitchenette and separate bedroom. The front office was not open during the time we were there, but the keys were left for us and a note on the door gave a phone number to call if needed."

"The property was exactly as described. Rooms are basic, but well maintained & comfortable. The staff is pleasant. Property is easily walkable to the main town center with shops/cafes. The lake view is unbeatable. Served as a nice location to adventure on Doubtful & Milford Sound. "

"The Kingsgate is located a short walk from the town centre, on the lake front. It has a restaurant attached for breakfast / dinner. Staff were very friendly. The room itself was a bit dated, especially the bathroom could do with an update, but the bed was very comfortable. "

"Like the location as close and walk-able to town. our room was on the small size but we knew this in advance yet it was clean and quiet which is a must!!! The staff was very helpful with tourist questions and helping to plan our day with additional events. "
