"The property is beautiful. Amazing views. Plenty of outdoor seating areas, games, hiking oportunities, however the low review was due to the lack of transparency and accuracy in the listing vs what it is. You NEED 4 WD to stay here. The driveway is not safe for a 2WD vehicle. Luckily we had one of each in our party and was able to leave the car at a local icecream shop about 15 mins away. The red awning/ sister company sent us an email 5 days prior to prior arrival and mentioned this is the email, however, that is after the deadline for cancellations or changes so we had no choice, it was go or lose it. "The cabin was perfectly stocked and organized with labels on everything. That is super helpful when it comes to light switches, etc. There is no guessing. The hot tub was clean and HOT. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Our young daughter enjoyed the loft as her hangout space. The owners seemed to think of everything! We even enjoyed lunches outside on the little patio table. We definitely recommend this cabin in Murphy!"

"Overall we had a great time. The fire place wasn't working but outside of that the cabin is nice. Basement is perfect for entertaining kids. The Internet isn't the strongest so come prepared for that. The views are just amazing. We sat outside a lot just staring at the mountains all around us. The host was very responsive. The town of Murphy is super cute and way less crowded than most.."

"The best thing we can say is that we hated to leave and can't wait to return. The cabin has been lovingly expanded and renovated to provide a very comfortable up-to-date environment with a personal touch. The property is very private and very walkable with beautiful meadows, creeks and a pond. As a bonus, the holiday decorations were charming. Tesy is congenial and geniunely responsive. "We have stayed in a few rentals in the area when visiting family and this place is, BY FAR, the best one! This property was clean, welcoming, and incredibly quiet. It’s a great cabin nestled in the woods. The best part: it was fully decorated for Christmas! My 2 year old about lost his mind when he saw the Christmas tree in the window. We will definitely be booking this property again."

"This was our second time staying here for the holidays. We love EVERYTHING about this cabin. Excellent communication & customer service provided by the host, Debbi. We kept busy with ping pong, pool & board games. The cabin was warm & cozy when the outside temperature went down into the 20’s. We got to see several deer on the property & in an empty wooded lot next door. Very safe & quiet community. Enjoyed downtown Blue Ridge & Mercier Orchards, as well as snow tubing and the mountain coaster at Highlands Outpost (a MUST if you have kids or teens). We HIGHLY recommend Hideaway Chalet at Bear Paw!"

"We had an incredible experience in Murphy, North Carolina. The view from our cabin was breathtaking right from the moment we woke up. It felt like we were gazing into the vast unknown, and it was absolutely wonderful. The peacefulness enveloped us as soon as we arrived, making us feel completely at ease. This vacation rental felt just like home, with every little detail thoughtfully arranged and the supplies provided by our host. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the attention to detail from the cleaner was impressive, with charming designs on the toiletries and in the kitchen. There was nothing about this cabin that disappointed us; in fact, it was truly exceptional. The neighborhood was equally delightful, with friendly neighbors who welcomed us warmly and were eager to assist with anything we needed. The hot tub was a perfect addition, creating a lovely atmosphere for our mountain getaway. Being able to bring our dog along made our stay in Murphy even more special.
