"Thomaz Palace was a perfect place to stay in Porto. It had a grocery store and the metro within a 5 minute walk. You can walk to Santa Catarina street within 10 minutes. Lots of shops, pastry locations and the Balhoa Market. We would highly recommend Thomaz Palace."

"What a terrible experience. The property requires an access code to enter the rooms and I didn't receive the access code for my first night. I spent more than 2 hours with hotels.com support while they tried to contact the property to get me into the room. I also tried contacting the property myself but they did not answer. We did have some initial check-in communication problems with the host due to having the wrong telephone number (we had to contact VRBO to get things straightened out), but after that got sorted out it was fine. "We had the flat for a weekend for my family. The rear bedroom is very quiet. The decoration is beautiful and it’s a lovely flat. There is some noise in the front bedroom from traffic and people on the street at night. There are great facilities, a supermarket at the end of the street and many cafes. It’s close to the metro if you need it. "

"Wonderful apartment.Very enjoyable, family friendly. Although we had a rental car, we did not want to drive in the city and used Bolt for transport. There is a nice grocery store within walking distance. The apartment is well laid out, and generously sized for families. My favourite room was the charming little bedroom on the third floor - especially the magical door. "
