"Very pleased with this hotel, was in a great location within walking distance of all the main sightseeing areas in the old town. Also walking distance to the tram station and a further 20 minute walk to Eminonu - from where you can take the ferry . The room was nice with a separate space for keeping bags and with an inbuilt safe. The front desk was very helpful . Bell boys were very helpful in showing us the right train station and how to go about it. Complimentary breakfast was an absolute delight with wonderful menu options and being on the rooftop had a good view of the city "

"Carina Hotel was in a perfect location! Easy walk to all the tourist locations(Grand Bazar, Hagia Sofia, basilica cistern & blue mosque) the public transportation line is around the corner and very easy to take! The front counter staff were so nice and welcoming and were there to answer and help with anything that we needed (especially Shams and Halil). Our cleaning lady (I’m sorry I forgot her name) was so sweet and made sure that we had everything that we needed and kept our room smelling wonderful. She was one of the nicest people we met in Istanbul! The breakfast was good and the beds a little hard for my liking, but overall the stay was wonderful and I would recommend to friends when they visit Istanbul! Thank you Carina Gold for an unforgettable experience! "

"The staff were really helpful on the day after we arrived. The reception gave us a map and talked us through all the attractions. They gave us tips and were always quick to react when we asked for anything. The breakfast was a great start to she day. There was sufficient choice for breakfast and you certainly would not stay hungry but it would be lovely if there was a protein choice for those who do not eat meat or eggs. Sonething like beans, tofu or another protein. I would definitely stay here again for the location etc. Thanks to all the staff for making sure our stay comfortable. The place is a bit dated but not a problem for us. "

"I thought the property was very well maintained and its location is tremendous. It is located within walking distance of the Hagia Sofia Grand Mosque, the Blue Mosque, the Cistern of Theodosius, and the Marmara Sea. It was a quiet place to stay in the midst of a bustling and noisy city. The staff was very professional and courteous and welcoming. I thought the bed mattress needed to be replaced or repaired as had a tough time sleeping on it but otherwise we really enjoyed our time at the Hotel. Will definitely stay there again. "
