"Location location location, provedencia is a place to be! If I was going to live in Santiago I would live here. The hostel itself is nice and friendly, I found it to be very safe. The breakfast available is good, self serve, although I never had the dinner it is available for free as well. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking, in fact every thing is within walking distance. TIP- use Uber instead of taxi!"

"The hosts were great. Warm and inviting. The best thing about the house is it's cleanliness. That being said the hostel was not worth 150 a night. But the only reason I paid was because I didn't know how to get other places. There are plenty of other places around, you just have to find them. Anyways if you have no other choice, its a great choice. But if you have the time to find other places - I think for the same quality you could find something cheaper."

"I’m disappointed because I stayed 1 night and placed it for 3 nights in Orbitz. When I left they overcharged me & told me I had to pay more and ecterca. Disappointed plus no heat; super cold there. Breakfast 3 slices of bread & coffee. The coffee was okay but the rest was disappointing. I complained to Orbitz about the Hostal Union overcharge. Plus I showed them the receipt of what I paid. Bad experience. "

"This was a great little hostel. I travelled with a friend and we stayed 4 nights in our own individual rooms with private bathrooms. The rooms are small but had everything we needed, including a locking cupboard, private toilet and shower. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The area is a little far from the centre but the walk was an easy one so we didn’t mind. "

We got there and had a snow storm and lost power for 3 days and we were not offer an explanation, when I asked when we could expect the lights to be back they almost took offense to answer and said they had no ideia but I should be happy they had a small generator and pawer the shower and one outlet in the kitchen.
