"Lovely place, really friendly and efficient staff.Nothing too much trouble and so helpful. Spotless! Great bar lounge and nice breakfast room. Had lovely room with four poster bed, after being upgraded . Slept like a log! Would def recommend. Only negatives would be tired looking carpets and expensive breakfast. The veggie one only had 2 sausages, though meat option had 3 and black pudding. However , during our party of 6 having breakfast, they ran out of tomatoes, black pudding and mushrooms,...

"Initially booked into room 7 ( annex) . Hadn't fully appreciated the access issues / stairs / downstairs toilet/ wardrobe. Staff were brilliant and moved to room 15 inside hotel immediately. Friendly staff , great food and only 1.5 miles from Whitby . ( Although Park and Ride does not start until Spring) . Would certainly book again ."

"We stay in a lot of hotels but I would say this room was one of the best. Roomy, wonderful bathroom, great tea and coffee. The breakfast was hot and tasty. The walks around the property were gorgeous."

"Check in was very efficient with a little tour to help navigate our way around. Staff very friendly and helpful.Tasty cooked breakfast options plus fresh fruit dried fruit yogurt cereals and pastries. Spa facilities were lovely albeit the pool in February was quite cold. "

"Good hotel, but, we were given a room (8) with a disabled bathroom. We are not disabled and found it extremely difficult to use and unpractical. The shower was difficult to use if you are over 4 foot."
