"We came to celebrate our Diamond Wedding Anniversary here having stayed in 1965 as newlyweds. The hotel has been completely updated and our room( no.3) was luxurious. The comfortable bed was more than 6' wide and the bathroom huge with walk-in shower plus roll top bath We took our toy poodle with us who was welcomed by all the staff. The food was fantastic and very plentiful. The dog could stay with us for every meal if we desired. All in all a fantastic stay. All the staff from the Manager to housekeeping were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. "

"Unfortunately not a perfect stay which was very disappointing with it being my husband’s birthday, booked through Hotels.com so not allowed to use the pool unless we paid £45 each, I have never heard of this before.The rooms are very nice but paying £5 for nut or crisps is ridiculous. The breakfast was very underwhelming with minimal choice, awful cold poached eggs, cold plates, weak coffee, all left me feeling very sick! Not worth £291 for one night. "
