Furthest waterbus entry to the right when facing the grand canal from the train station. Good central location, best hotel breakfast in Italy. Has a front desk inside, just push the door button to get in."

"Beautiful hotel set outside the busy area. Very easy walking distance to the grand canal and some very nice restaurants near by. Breakfast was good, but the eggs were “ok”, pastries were excellent. Front desk was friendly and able to make all taxi bookings via WhatsApp. Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. Only missing a bathrob to make it a perfect stay. Would return and recommend. "

"I researched for a hotel near Piazza San Marco because my husband cannot walk long distances and much of what we wanted to do was located in the vicinity of the piazza. Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo Was PERFECT. You walked out the non-water side door off reception, went a few steps up a small bridge and once over the bridge were in the piazza! If you made a left out of the door you found yourself in the lovely, tiny streets of Venice and you really could not get lost because you only had to find your way back to the piazza to easily find your way to the hotel. Make sure to take an early morning walk before the influx of tourists for the day - it’s magical! The room was lovely albeit on the smaller side, very clean, and the bathroom was very nicely sized. Overall, the service was excellent. The daily included breakfast was wonderful, with a delightful array of choices. This hotel is part of a group of hotels in Venice, and one nearby hotel also has a delightful restaurant - San Marco Restaurant- where you get 10% off. We ate there and it was excellent. The location is just steps away from the piazza and easy to get to from the piazza. Considering the proximity to the piazza we found that the prices were fair and the food was fresh, delicious and well-portioned. We would stay here again and highly recommend. "

Its location is ideal as in less than 5 minutes walking distance are all the main attractions. The facilities and rooms are at 5 star level. "

"We stayed for 5 nights at end of April 2025 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Fabulous location for my wife who has limited mobility. Staff were excellent, especially the breakfast room staff. Breakfast was superb with a huge selection of hot and cold options, including freshly cut melon and pineapple. We also had 2 complimentary bottles of water each day in our room. It had 2 lifts. Extremely close to the Rialto bridge and St Marks Square. We would highly recommend this hotel 😊"
