"Came here for a weekend getaway with my husband and a few friends. We paid extra upon arrival for a room upgrade. Pros: the valet was amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel has a convenient location with sea views and proximity to the seven sisters walk. Overall positive experience Cons: it’s just not a 5 star hotel, while it is certainly grand, it was more of a 3 star experience from general upkeep and offerings. The breakfast was not very good and the amenities are outdated. "

The rooms themselves were medium sized and had a shared balcony area above the first floor, and as I have been to Eastbourne countless times at many hotels I would put this definitely in the upper ranks compared to all others. The man on reception was very friendly and funny.
