"This is the second time I have stayed here while on business, the staff are so friendly, the room is nice and spacious and bathroom nice and clean. Location is great with a short walk to restaurants and cafes and also the large shopping centre and train station also a easy walk. My only suggestion would be a mini fridge in the room and also laundry facility would be a nice to have. The free parking is also very handy. I would definitely stay here again."

"We enjoyed our stay here, walking distance to town and local shops/restaurants. Enjoyed being able to have facilities to make our own breakfast, although there is a restaurant downstairs. The shower was brilliant, water pressure was really good and the soaps provided were lovely. If we would niggle at anything it was the kettle took ages to boil, the loft bed light didn't work and the wall had some staining on it. But other than that a great night's sleep!"

We appreciate the buildings in Winchester are very old but we think overall maintenance of rooms could be better. Coffee stains on the carpet, a little touch up paint and minor repair on walls in the bathroom could go a long way."

"Old thorns is a lovely hotel and the rooms are very nice. My only complaint is that the swimming pool and spa area needs to have some attention - I visit in May 23 and then again in January 24 and the hot beds were out of order both times and the hot tub was not working - my daughter and I used the foot spa bit the water was only running cold, this was disappointing as this is a spa hotel and I expected more. However I would still stay at old thorns as it is a comfortable hotel, but if I am...
