"We loved the neighborhood that this property is in, particularly that it was walkable to good food, quiet at night, and had a nice small park nearby. The staff were great and very accommodating and helpful. What the property lacks is privacy -- other visitors hanging out outside of their rooms talking sounded like they were in our room, and if our blinds were open, anyone could see in. Overall, though, I would stay here again."

"Absolutely stunning location. Excellent accommodation facilities and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. My kids loved the open space and the goats and cow. Very clean, comfortable beds and they provide plenty of breakfast options. Great dining options near by too. Highly recommend!"

"My wife and I spent two nights with Andy & Pip at the lodge at the start of our New Zealand vacation. They were great hosts, picked us up at the ferry dock, helped guide us with local transportation options (take advantage of the bus system to the local wineries) and Pip provided a wonderful breakfast that was a highlight of our visit. "Charming B&B! Area is lovely (although it was raining during our stay so we didn’t get as much of a chance to enjoy the location as we would have liked… but it IS breathtaking.) On the bay, lovely walk to town … couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful spot! Hosts are wonderful people … homemade bread and jams, fruit, yogurt and assorted cereals for breakfast… would recommend Dovecote to everyone!"

"While we didn’t require provisions for disabilities, they had an excellent set-up for those that do need such. Our host was very accommodating. "

"Location great, cleanliness great, provisions great, access great, nothing about the property could be faulted. Property owner was well prepared and friendly when we arrived, communication before arrival was excellent. The only (very very minor) request for improvement would be a light on the sign on the road, we returned at night and struggled to locate the entrance confidently in the dark. Noting this did not detract from the stay in the slightest."

"The owner is called Chris who knew how to respect me, my wife and my son. He told me the true how to be realistic to/not to go to South Island without enough time to travel there from North to South and transportation."

"We booked the cheapest room for two nights, but when we got there, Andy told us that we're their only guests for the weekend, so they upgraded our room to the suite. 😊 The suite was stunning with a big living room and kitchen, also with ecstatic views. "We were very pleased with our stay. Walkable to the local complex and the beach walkways. The view of the sea was a treat from the deck. Everything we could have needed and wanted was provided. The decor is very tasteful and comfortable. Tania made us feel very welcome and we will be back again."

"This property was very opulent, grand, and extremely well designed. Staying here made you feel all warm and cozy and the front desk Check in staff did their part to make you feel Lavishly welcome as well. The property featured a whirlpool spa, sauna, as well as a warm swimming pool to relax and exercise in. It also had a fully equipped gym. It also featured a deck for smokers where they can relax. Look at the sky and smoke at their will. The property was also adjacent to a very bustling Casino next-door. There was also a very delicious restaurant inside of the hotel at the base of the hotel. There was also an Asian/Japanese sushi restaurant, as well as a quick bite/get together style restaurant adjacent to the hotel as well. You cannot go wrong picking this hotels to stay when you are in Auckland, New Zealand"
